Flying Karpet is the 1968 album by Mexican rock band The Flying Karpets. This was taken from a CD release done sometime in the 1990's by Discos CUltura, S.A.

This Mexican band's mega-rare album from 1968 has recently been reissued (a ldt. ed. pressing of 300) making it accessible to a wider audience. It's mostly cover versions of material like White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane), San Francisco Nights (Eric Burdon and The Animals), 20th Century Fox (The Doors), and My Back Pages (The Byrds), although there's one original sung in Spanish La Felicidad. A few songs, particulary Mercy, Mercy, Mercy lean toward pop-soul
