This compact disc is a 2-for-1 compilation by gospel group The Gospelaires of Dayton, Ohio, combining their 1961 album Bones In The Valley with their 1968 album Can I Get A Witness. Originally released on Peacock Records. this pressing was done by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) in 1991.

Can I Get A Witness from 1968 has a more "modern" feel than Bones In The Valley from 1961, but these gentleman sing hard about the holy spirit. One of only a small handful of gospel albums Mobile Fideity Sound Lab released in the Brad Miller-era of the label.

Open Our Eyes is the fifth album by Earth, Wind & Fire. Released in 1974, this was the album that was the beginning of where the group would go next, featuring their first certified hit song, "Mighty Mighty". The album also includes "Kalimba Story", "Devotion", and "Fair But So Uncool". The 2001 remaster for Columbia Legacy features a few unreleased songs not on the original album. The MP3 version has an additional interlude recorded for the album but not released until it was placed on The Eternal Dance box set.

Finally, after almost half a decade of serious dues-paying, Earth, Wind & Fire took off commercially with its fifth album, Open Our Eyes. EWF had been delivering great albums since 1971, but it wasn't until 1974 that the public proved genuinely receptive to Maurice White's mystical and unorthodox take on soul and funk. No longer would EWF enjoy only a small cult following. Thanks to treasures like "Kalimba Song," the gritty funk smoker "Mighty Mighty," and the unforgettable "Devotion," Open Our Eyes became EWF's first gold album and went to the top of the R&B charts. It's also interesting to note that with this album, singer Jessica Cleaves was gone, resulting in the first time EWF had an all-male lineup. The 2001 CD reissue adds four previously unreleased bonus tracks, one of them a "Walkin' in N'awlins" mix of "Fair But So Uncool," though the other three songs did not appear on the original album in an alternate form.

New Year's Eve is a 2003 2CD live recording by Elvis Presley. This audience recording was released in part because a soundboard recording doesn't exist. It was done a few months before Elvis' death and has become cherished by his fans. This was released by Follow That Dream via RCA/BMG Europe.

New Year's Eve is a 2 CD-set of Elvis Presley's complete New Year's Eve 1976 concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is an audience recording, NOT a soundboard. The record company has searched for years to find a soundboard, but without success.

As many collectors know, this show has been bootlegged over and over, and the record company wants to make sure that the many fans who are committed to not buying bootlegs get a chance to experience this historic concert.

The sound quality is noisy, hollow, and loaded with crowd noises, but this is a historic moment and probably the best quality we are ever going to get.

The Buddah Box is a 3CD box set compilation released by ESX in 1993. It honors the Buddah label and some of its more well known subsidiaries, including Kama Sutra, Sussex, Hot Wax and Sutra. It contains a nice exploration of their roots as pop and bubble gum music aficionados before they explored rock, gospel, soul, disco, and hip-hop by the time the labels closed shop in the early 1980's.
