A Collection Of Great Dance Songs is a 1981 compilation album by Pink Floyd. It was released between The Wall and The Final Cut. This is the original U.S. pressing released on Columbia Records. If you would like to hear the Capitol remaster done in 2000, you may go here and ask for a re-seed.
The success of The Wall in 1979 and throughout 1980 made Columbia Records in the US impatient for more "product". They decided to request a compilation, and they received one in the form of A Collection Of Great Dance Songs.

A few things made this an interesting compilation. The version of "Money" is a brand new recording, done in 1981. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a unique edit, blending the best elements of the 9 part song and combining it as one, as if to make it more radio friendly. This is also a chance to hear the proper intro of "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)", as heard on the original 45 rpm single. Unlike the 45, which fades out 40 seconds into David Gilmour's solo, it fades out during the execution of the pudding.
